GIGSVILLE USA:: Oct. 4 Make Out Room
With so many great musicians descending on our town for the annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival the same weekend, maybe I'll get a stunt double to play my guitar for me. That way I can concentrate on my real gift: dancing.
It's all coming together now.
Oct. 4th Make Out Room San Francisco
Stephie Finch: (singing, Vox Continental)
Kevin White: (bass guitar)
Todd Roper: (drums, vocals)
James Deprado: (guitar, lap steel)

BLOGSVILLE: "Bride of Chucky back in the studio...." http://www.brink.com/content/4410/.html
Stephie Finch quietly put an end to her recording hiatus a couple weeks ago at Decibelle Recording in Noe Valley. Kelley Stoltz, Rusty Miller, JJ Wiesler, and yours truly gathered to cut new songs. Last time around Stephie and running mate's go go Market name-checked Lotte Lenya and Princess Lea. Now she's back to being Stephanie Finch singing about Tina (who's going by a different name), the joys of cherry apple pie, white sands, company men and exiles on the backstreets.... Daryl Hall and Chuck Prophet "live from Daryl's house"
"Hey you, with the curly bush on your head!" Things are more perverted than ever on the innerweb. Tune in and watch me and blue eyed soul royalty Daryl Hall get all emo with each other in Austin, in episode 7 of "Live From Daryl's House."
WAYLON TRIB "Dreaming Waylon's Dreams" CD NOW AVAILABLE FROM THE CONNEXTION
This CD - with artwork created by hand on letterpress by Bruce Licher of Savage Republic and Scenic fame - is quite literally one of a kind. Only 1000 copies were created and it will remain that way. They are numbered individually. 500 copies are available. They include photographs and a chapbook detailing the recording.
The bizarre practice of re-makes is not limited to Hollywood behavior. It's a growing sickness we may never completely understand. In order to survive stories must be retold. The whole story here with pics: http://www.brink.com/content/2275/Waylon+Are+You+Pissed.html
